Reading 1: “How Gif Trash Became Internet Culture Glue”

In this reading I found many interesting concepts about Gifs in the Internet culture. One main thing that came to mind was that Gifs are a more updated version of just regular picture memes. It reminds me of how film making in the past started to improve from still picture frames to having silent films with words on the screen and of course movement. Gifs of course are fun and entertaining, but only for a few seconds until you move onto the next one. I think that since Gifs have been around for a while and are popular, they can still be just as popular in the future because there is new material and creative ideas every single day that can be turned into Gifs and memes. New pictures and Movies scenes are found every second and can be turned into something funny, poetic, artistic, scary, etc. single Gif itself can last a long time depending on how many people reblog it or give it a liken the internet. But the culture of Gifs, in my opinion has a possibility to continue for a long time.
